The story

Naitik and Akshara Singhania live in a Marwari joint family in Udaipur. As a young married couple, they journey through adjustment issues, later as parents of young children, and they learn to love each other and their respective extended families while becoming mature members of their household.

What it’s like

Warm, saturated studio light fills a sprawling joint-family home in Udaipur, with bright silks, brass lamps, and carved wooden doorways that make every room feel lived-in and busy. Scenes are staged for the camera in tidy medium shots and close-ups, with frequent cuts to tearful faces and reaction shots that linger a beat too long. Festival colours, shared meals, and crowded courtyards give the days a steady, familiar rhythm, while swelling string-and-tabla underscores mark each emotional turn. The mood is cosy and melodramatic, a comfortable blend of tenderness, bickering, and sentimental sorrow, best suited to easy evening viewing, background company while folding laundry, or a long comfort rewatch. Its episodes move at a leisurely, serialised pace, with conflicts that stretch over weeks and resolve slowly. The arc follows a young couple learning patience with each other and with their in-laws, gradually becoming the steady centre of their household. Intensity is low: family arguments, misunderstandings, and occasional scheming villains, but no graphic violence, gore, or sexual content. It suits viewers who want gentle, long-form domestic drama with heart on their sleeve.
