The story

You and Me and Her: A Love Story is the visual novel medium in its purest form. Will Shinichi choose Miyuki, the beautiful queen bee of the school, or the endearingly awkward misfit Aoi? With art by Tsuji Santa, these beautifully rendered romances will stay with you forever.

What it’s like

Soft anime illustration with clean linework and pastel, warm-lit palettes, where expressive character portraits sit over painted school hallways, classrooms and rain-dimmed streets, and the text box does most of the work. Gentle piano and soft strings swell at confessions and turn thin and uneasy when a route darkens. The pacing is conversational, with long stretches of banter between choices, and the emotional register moves from light school-romance teasing to jealousy, unease and sudden dread as the love triangle tightens. Its central figure is an indecisive young man weighing two very different girls, and each route reshapes how the three of them come together or fall apart. Intensity is moderate and uneven: some bad endings bring bloody, disturbing horror imagery and psychological cruelty, and an optional adult patch adds explicit sexual content. The darker branches land hard, while most of the romance stays tender. It suits a late-night solo sitting or a multi-evening playthrough, and it is for players who enjoy branching choices and mature content, and who want a romance that can tip into real unease.
