The story

At a difficult place in his marriage and career, a middle-aged man gets a shot at a do-over when he's transformed back into his 18-year-old body.

What it’s like

Warm, bright, lightly comic, with the wistful ache of a second chance. Scenes move between sunlit school corridors and dim, tired family rooms, so the mood shifts from youthful energy to quiet middle-aged regret and back again. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with the humor loose and the emotional beats given room to breathe. A man who has lost his footing in marriage and work is handed a younger body and a chance to start over, and the story follows how he tangles with his old responsibilities and reconnects with the people closest to him, especially his son and daughter. Romance and high school sports add lightness, while the tone stays reflective about what fathers owe their children and what getting older costs. The intensity is mild: no graphic violence, little menace, and the uncomfortable moments come from awkward family tension and the complications of teenage pregnancy, handled with sympathy rather than shock. It suits a comfortable evening on the sofa or a relaxed weekend binge. It is for viewers who like gentle, character-driven family comedy with a hopeful, emotional undertow.
