The story
A kidnapping on the streets of Shibuya brings together a hot-blooded detective, hard-hitting journalist, former gang leader, the head researcher of a big pharma manufacturer and a part-timer stuck in cat costume for a series of events each more unexpected and outrageous than the last.
What it’s like
Rain-slick crossings, neon signs bleeding into wet pavement, and the hectic, crowded energy of Tokyo's Shibuya district set the look of this live-action visual novel. Its stills are built from real location photography and grainy, low-resolution footage, cut into split screens and timestamped panels that flash across the frame, giving it a jittery, stylized documentary feel. The soundtrack leans on brassy, percussive pop and quick sting cues that spike during reveals, while quieter moments fall into a hush of street noise. Its vibe is frantic and playfully absurd, with a sly, self-aware streak that suits a late-night session or a weekend binge when you want something busy and gleefully strange. Pacing comes in short, clipped scenes that jump between five protagonists, each thread knotting into the others, so the experience feels like rapid-fire channel surfing across one city. The tone runs from tense to deadpan to outright silly, and the intensity is moderate: some threats, scuffles and brief menace, with no gore and little sexual content. It is for players who enjoy branching mysteries, ensemble casts and odd, quick-cut oddity rather than slow contemplation.
