What it’s like
Bright, pastel-leaning school-day colour and bouncy, mood-lifting music give this Korean series a light, sweet surface, with the occasional quieter, sadder beat under the comedy. The look is that of a conventional high school drama: sunny corridors, classrooms, and rooftops, shot in fairly standard medium frames with plenty of close-ups on faces during the romantic moments. Its vibe is playful and warm, with a bittersweet undertow about inherited family burdens. It suits a lazy weekend binge, a comfort rewatch, or an easy watch after a long day. Pacing is episodic and brisk, with the comedy and romance carrying most scenes. The emotional arc follows a young woman learning to live with a strange family inheritance and a guy who has good reason to keep his distance. Intensity is low: there is no real violence or gore, the transformation is handled for laughs, and romance stays at the level of kissing and blushing, though the family-history thread can turn melancholy. It's for viewers who want romantic comedy with a supernatural hook and a gentle, emotionally open heart.
