The story
Raj and Priya befriend their new neighbors Vicky and Sonia. One day, Raj wakes up in Vicky's house and finds out that Sonia has been murdered and he's being framed for it. On the run, he must try and prove his innocence with the support of his loving wife.
What it’s like
Glossy early-2000s Bombay thriller polish: crisp, saturated frames, bright apartment interiors and sun-washed streets giving way to dim, rain-slick nights and tense chases. The camera moves briskly with quick cuts during action and lingers on the couple's warm domestic scenes, and the score swings between brassy suspense cues and sweet romantic songs. The mood is a mix of breezy romance and jittery unease, the sort of watch that suits a weekend evening with the lights half on or a fast-paced escape after a long week. Its rhythm is brisk and escalating, with frequent set pieces, a few fistfights, and a tense murder-and-manhunt premise handled with dramatic rather than graphic violence; there is no real gore, and the peril feels more like nerves than horror. Sexual content is limited to flirtation and kissing. Its central arc follows a man pushed into a frightening situation and a wife who stands by him, leaning on loyalty and quick thinking. It suits viewers who enjoy old-school Hindi commercial cinema with thriller stakes, romance and music, and who want suspense without much darkness.
