The story
A loyal henchman is ordered by his boss to keep an eye on his mistress, and trouble begins when he refuses to kill her.
What it’s like
Warm, dusty Mumbai light and saturated neon nights give this Hindi crime drama a romantic sheen, with lush, slightly theatrical framing, sweeping camera moves through crowded streets, and a score that swells with melodic longing over the pulse of city percussion. Its vibe is brooding and melodramatic, with a lovelorn undercurrent that suits a late evening alone or a comfort watch when you want emotion pitched high. The pacing is musical rather than lean: songs interrupt the tension, and the action, though real, arrives in bursts between longer stretches of yearning looks and quiet confessions. Its emotional arc follows a hardened enforcer who slowly turns against the code that owns him, drawn toward a woman he was meant to watch and then to destroy. Violence is present and occasionally sharp, including gunfights and a few brutal confrontations, but gore is limited and the cruelty is mostly in the criminal world's brutality rather than lingered-on. Sexual content is suggestive rather than explicit. It is for viewers who love doomed romance, gangster melodrama, and big Bollywood-style emotion with a serious edge.
