The story

Greg founded a company called Alibi.com that creates any type of alibi. With his associate, Augustin, and Medhi his new employee, they devise unstoppable stratagems and stagings to cover their clients. But meeting Flo, a pretty blonde who hates men who lie, will complicate Greg's life, which begins by hiding the true nature of his activity. During the presentation to parents, Greg understands that Gérard, the father of Flo, is also one of their clients.

What it’s like

Bright, bustling daylight in ordinary Parisian apartments and offices, with the camera mostly keeping pace with the actors in busy, cheerful compositions and quick cuts that land on comic reaction shots. The palette is clean and sunny, with pastel suits, tidy workspaces and warm interiors, and the score is breezy and playful, the kind of light pop-and-strings cue that signals a caper rather than a threat. This is a French farce with a commercial, polished finish: slick, well-lit, and never gritty. Its vibe is brisk, cheerful mischief, the feeling of a Saturday-night crowd-pleaser with a wink. The pacing is quick and escalating, built on misunderstandings, improvised cover stories and sitcom-style set pieces. The emotional register stays light and affectionate, following a fast-talking fixer who gets tangled in his own lies and gradually has to own up to the people he cares about. Violence is absent, with only mild slapstick and no gore, and any sexual content is suggestive rather than explicit, with some crude jokes. It suits a comedy night with friends, a relaxed evening in, or a lighthearted watch for anyone who enjoys French farce and caper-style humour.
