The story

The characters we met a little more than a decade ago return to East Great Falls for their high school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t, and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated summer daylight over a sleepy lakeside suburb, with sunny backyards, a lake house, and a familiar high school gym, all shot in clean, conventional studio-comedy coverage: medium two-shots, reaction close-ups, and quick cuts that land the punchline. The palette is warm and candy-bright, the soundtrack leans on upbeat pop and nostalgic needle-drop tracks, and the mood is affectionate and easygoing, like a comfortable old reunion. Pacing is brisk and episodic, a string of set pieces and party gags, with a sweet undercurrent about marriage, friendship, and growing older. The humor is frank, crude, and sexual, with explicit gross-out gags, bawdy innuendo, nudity, and a lot of talk about sex, though there is no real violence and little menace. Its people are a group of old friends reconnecting and a married couple testing the strains of routine, so it suits a lazy weekend, a nostalgic rewatch with friends, or a light, irreverent evening for viewers who enjoy raunchy comedy and don't mind bawdiness.
