The story
Amorphous+ is a top-down view action game that has you playing as a generic bald human. You exterminate nests of creatures known as Glooples, using your trusty sword known as the "SplatMaster3000". The game is a sequel/update to the original Amorphous game, both developed by innocuousGames.
What it’s like
Crisp flat vector shapes and a bright, pastel-leaning palette sit against a plain top-down arena, with the Glooples rendered as squishy blobs that wobble and burst in cartoon splashes of colour. The sound is light and chiptune-adjacent: quick, percussive sword swipes, squelchy pops, and a looping little tune that stays in the background rather than demanding attention. Its vibe is playful and slapstick, a goofy little browser-game charm with a satisfying rhythm of clearing a nest, collecting drops, and chasing the next unlock. Pacing is brisk and arcade-like, with short rounds that reset quickly, so it suits a few minutes on a coffee break, a stretch of idle clicking-and-slashing while listening to something else, or a casual session when you want something mindless and easy to pick up. Intensity is low: cartoonish blobby destruction with no gore, no fear, and no cruelty, just bright splatter and a constant trickle of small rewards. It is for players who enjoy simple action, collecting and completionist progression, and a light, silly sense of humour in free, bite-sized play.
