The story
Every house is haunted. Explore a suburban house, collect cassette tapes, study the physiology of domestic architecture.
What it’s like
Dim, grainy rooms rendered in low-resolution textures, with the flat, washed palette of an old CRT and glitching edges that tear across walls when the house seems to shift. The suburban interior is drawn in muted greys, sickly yellows and deep shadow, so each lit doorway or flickering lamp feels like a small event. Sound does much of the work: long stretches of hum and creak, the hiss of cassette tape, and sudden distorted swells that make the quiet feel occupied. Movement is slow and exploratory, with the pace set by walking from room to room, reading fragments and gathering tapes that gradually bend the story out of shape. The mood is uneasy and melancholic, a quiet dread that builds through corruption and possession rather than jump scares, and the horror is psychological and atmospheric, with little explicit gore. It suits a late night alone with headphones, or anyone drawn to experimental, lo-fi walking games where the atmosphere matters more than action, and it is best for players who enjoy slow, puzzling discovery in unsettling spaces.
