The story

When a soldier's mother discovers the bullet that killed her son in Afghanistan was made at the factory where she works, she sets out on a path of revenge against those responsible.

What it’s like

Driven, grim and grief-heavy, with the pull of a revenge thriller running under every scene. The emotional center is a mother's sorrow hardening into purpose, so the mood leans toward determined and cold rather than cozy, with the Afghanistan war and the ammunition trade setting a bleak moral backdrop. Action and violence sit at the core of the genre, so expect confrontations and dangerous set pieces rather than quiet drama; the tone is tense and hard-edged, not gentle. Pacing is likely to build toward escalating confrontations as the protagonist closes in on the people behind her son's death. Lena Headey anchors the story, and the arc is a grieving woman turning a private loss into a reckoning. It suits viewers who want a propulsive, morally charged thriller on a night in with the lights low, and fans of revenge stories centered on a parent rather than a trained fighter.
