The story
Biarritz. Sixteen-year-old George, the high school hottie, falls in love with Alex. To get his attention, she initiates a group game with Alex, Nikita, Laetitia and Gabriel. They will discover, test, and push the limits of their sexuality.
What it’s like
Handheld camera hugs close to restless teenagers in sun-bleached Basque coastal summer, with bright daylight on beaches and dim, sweaty nights in villas lit by phone screens and party strobes. The palette runs from washed-out seaside blues to warm, smoky interiors, and the digital image feels raw and unpolished, with a pulsing electronic score filling the gaps between conversations. Its vibe is detached, hungry and uneasy: a restless, hazy drift through boredom and bravado, with long stretches of aimless talk and sudden, abrupt escalation. Best suited to a late-night watch when you want something unvarnished rather than comforting. Intensity is high: frank, explicit sexual content involving teenage characters, nudity, group sex, and heavy drinking and drug use, with little softening. The emotional register is cool and fractured rather than cathartic, and the arcs are about youthful curiosity sliding into loneliness and self-exposure. For viewers who want a blunt, sensual, morally uncomfortable portrait of adolescent desire, not gentle or uplifting viewing.
