The story

The Joker is back with a vengeance, and Neo-Gotham's Dark Knight, Terry McGinnis, needs answers as he stands alone to face the old Gotham's most infamous Clown Prince of Crime.

What it’s like

Hard-edged animated night, all cool blues and violet with sudden hot bursts of neon, the city a vertical sprawl of glass and rain-slicked steel under a bruised sky. The look is hand-drawn cel animation with clean, angular lines and a deliberately retro-futuristic palette, so jet-packs, hovering vehicles and mask-tech HUDs feel crisp against the murk. Pacing is brisk and action-forward, with rooftop chases and tight suit-versus-clown fights punctuated by quieter beats in dim interiors where characters talk in low, weary voices. The score is driven by synth pulse and brassy stingers, with the Joker's cackle cutting through as the emotional spike. The mood is noir-tinged menace with a streak of mournful nostalgia for an older Gotham. Intensity is moderate: stylised fight violence and a few menacing, creepy moments, with a sinister Joker and some thematic cruelty, but no gore and little blood. Best for fans of animated superhero stories who want a dark, stylish, mid-length adventure on a rainy night, and for viewers who enjoy cyberpunk texture with a villain they love to hate.
