The story
Moving into a new house, a family witnesses an unfriendly ghost who wants to drive them away from the house. However, he befriends a little boy who changes his outlook forever.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated Mumbai-set interiors shot in warm, cheerful light, with the old haveli-style house carrying dusty ochre and faded teal in its corridors and a few dim, cobwebbed rooms that give the ghost scenes a gentle eeriness rather than real menace. Camera work is mostly steady and straightforward, with broad comic framing, big reaction shots and bustling family spaces that feel lived-in. The score leans on playful orchestral swells and bouncy Hindi film songs, with spooky tones used for comic effect. The vibe is light, sentimental and warm: a family comedy with a ghost story wrapped around it, the kind of film that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a family movie night or a comfort watch. Pacing is easygoing, with slapstick and sweet interludes alternating, and the emotional arc follows a bitter, lonely spirit slowly softening through friendship with a small boy. Intensity is low: mild scares and cartoonish pranks, no real violence, no gore, and nothing sexual. It is well suited to families with children, and to anyone who wants a funny, tender film that is never frightening.
