The story
Two brothers Vibhooti and Chiraunji have fought their share of ghosts. However, a new case in a remote village forces them to rethink their own abilities and beliefs.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated studio colour and busy Bollywood staging: sun-washed village lanes, painted havelis, lurid greens and reds in the ghostly sequences, with handheld camera swinging through fast comic set-ups. The sound is a bouncy film score with comic stings, sudden bass drops for jump-scares, and a lot of broad sound effects. Its vibe is playful, goofy spookiness, the kind of light horror that stays on the cheerful side, suited to a family movie night, a lazy weekend afternoon, or a comfort watch when you want to be a little scared without losing the grin. The pacing is brisk and episodic, with frequent song-and-dance interludes and slapstick banter that keep the tone bouncy rather than tense. The intensity is mild: ghosts, creepy apparitions and short, cartoonish scares, with no gore and no real cruelty, and sexual content is absent. The emotional register is warm and affectionate, following two squabbling brothers who learn to trust each other and their own beliefs. It is for people who want a silly, colourful ghost story with laughs, gentle thrills and a family-friendly heart.
