The story

Gopal and his best friends are back again, and this time they move back to their old neighborhood in a new palatial house where they learn that it is being haunted by a ghost.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated daylight and wide, busy frames full of slapstick: a Mumbai-style family house with pastel walls, glossy set dressing and sharp colour-grading, shot in a broad, fast-cut style where the camera jumps into every pratfall and chase. The sound is loud and bouncy, with a brassy, Bollywood-pop score that swells into thriller stings and clattering percussion whenever the ghost scares are played for laughs. Its vibe is loud, silly and affectionate, a crowd-pleasing farce that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a family movie night, or a cheerful lift on a long journey. The rhythm is brisk and repetitive, built on running gags, mistaken identities and escalating set pieces rather than any quiet stretches. Emotionally it stays light and playful, with the central friendship between three bumbling men carrying the warmth. The horror is mild and mostly comic: spooky lighting, jump-scares and creaking doors that never really frighten. Violence is cartoonish and slapstick, with brawls and fights that are loud but bloodless, and there is no gore. The sexual content is limited to flirtatious comedy. It is for viewers who want a broad, good-natured comedy that is easy to laugh along with and gentle on the nerves.
