The story
Four friends meet an underworld don who, on his deathbed, clues them in on hidden treasure buried in Goa. The group race towards Goa, not knowing that their plans will soon be foiled, albeit hilariously, by a police officer, who is also after the money.
What it’s like
Bright, loud, and sun-saturated, with Goa's beaches and crumbling Portuguese-era houses rendered in warm daylight and saturated colour, the frame kept busy with slapstick staging, fast cuts and wide comic set-ups rather than quiet composition. The sound is brass-and-dhol Bollywood music and rapid-fire dialogue, with pratfalls and chase-scene timing driving the rhythm. Vibe: rowdy, cheerful, shamelessly silly. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a group watch with friends, or a light background comedy when you want something that never slows down. Pacing is brisk and episodic, the tone warm and broadly farcical, and the friendships and rivalries play out as easygoing bickering that resolves into affection. Intensity is low: there is some slapstick fighting and chase mayhem, with no gore, no real cruelty, and mild crude jokes and innuendo. It is made for people who want big, cheerful, ensemble comedy with a touch of treasure-hunt adventure and no emotional weight.
