The story
A pair of reformed gangsters try to find a husband for their newly discovered sister, but complications arise due to mistaken identities.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated studio colour and broad, crowd-pleasing staging: wide frames of Mumbai streets and sunlit interiors, loud costume palettes, and quick cuts set to a bouncy, percussive Hindi-film score with plenty of dhol and pop-filmi choruses. The mood is raucous and warm, a farce that keeps its own energy high from the first scene to the last. Pacing is brisk and deliberately overstuffed, with physical comedy, slapstick reversals and a steady stream of set-up and payoff that rarely lets the screen go still. Emotionally it stays light: two hardened tough guys soften into doting, clumsy protectors, and the romance is pleasant rather than probing. Action sequences are stylised brawls with fists, chases and a few gunfights, played for laughs and largely bloodless; there is no gore and no sexual content beyond flirtation, though the bouncing comic violence and bursts of shouting are constant. It suits a loud, cheerful evening with friends, or a lighthearted watch when you want noise, colour and silly chaos rather than anything quiet or subdued. Best for viewers who enjoy broad Bollywood comedy and don't mind a rowdy, chaotic tone.
