The story

An adrenaline junkie walks away from a whirlwind romance and embraces a new life as a thief, though he soon finds himself pursued by veteran police officer and engaged in a turf war with a local gangster.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated Bollywood studio colour: hot yellows, cobalt skies and glossy, sun-drenched locations in Mumbai and Europe, with rapid cutting, big set-piece camera moves and a constant sense of motion. The sound is loud and playful, a pop-filmi score built on dance beats and brassy horns, punctuated by knockabout sound effects during the stunts and comic bits. It is a high-energy, feel-good crowd-pleaser with a wry, cheeky tone, the kind of big-screen escapism that suits a Friday night out, a loud group watch, or a lively weekend when you want to be entertained rather than moved. The romance is light and flirtatious, the comedy broad and affectionate, and the arc follows a restless hero who learns that slowing down can be its own kind of thrill. Action is frequent and stylised, with fight choreography, chases and stunts played for spectacle and laughs; there is violence and some menace from the gangster subplot, but it stays cartoonish and bloodless, with no gore. Romantic scenes are chaste. Made for fans of Salman Khan's star-driven masala films and for anyone wanting high-octane fun with a warm heart.
