The story
Three married womanisers cheat on their wives. In order to catch them red-handed, their sceptic wives enlist a detective who specialises in investigating extramarital relationships.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated studio colour and busy, over-lit interiors: sunlit living rooms, glossy hotel suites, bustling Mumbai streets rendered in clean commercial sheen. The camera stays busy, with quick cuts, snap zooms and sweeping crane moves that keep the frame bouncing between slapstick set-ups and song-and-dance numbers, while the score is a bouncy mix of Bollywood brass, synth stings and cheerful vocal hooks that signal every joke a beat early. The vibe is loud, glossy, goofy farce with a warm, forgiving heart, the kind of thing that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a group watch with snacks, or a light night in. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with repeated misunderstandings, mistaken identities and running gags that pile up toward a chaotic, feel-good finale. Its three philandering husbands and their wives drift from smug to sheepish, and the emotional register stays mostly sunny and comic, with brief sentimental pauses. Intensity is low: some crude innuendo and sexual suggestion, slapstick tumbles, no real violence, no gore and no genuine menace. Made for viewers who want cheerful, big-hearted comedy and music, not subtlety.
