The story

Two gangsters meet Rajiv, who belongs to a respectable family, and want to fix their sister's wedding with him. However, when Rajiv's uncle refuses to the match, a series of hilarious situations occur.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated studio colour and broad, theatrical framing: Bollywood comedy in the mode of 2007, with well-lit sets, big ensemble compositions, and mirrored costumes that keep the eye busy. Its sound is loud and bouncy, with a Hindi pop-and-dhol score that punctuates slapstick, chase cues and song sequences alike. The vibe is boisterous, silly and warm, the kind of film that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a group watch with friends, or a comfort rewatch when you want to laugh without thinking. Pacing is brisk and farcical, with escalating mistaken-identity mix-ups that build toward a crowded, chaotic finale. Emotionally it stays light: a pair of tough-talking hoodlums gradually softening around a respectable family, and a mild romantic thread running through the mayhem. Intensity is low: some cartoonish fights and threats, played for laughs, with no gore and nothing graphic. Best for people who want big, colourful, good-natured comedy and a playful family-comedy caper.
