The story

Lovely Singh is extremely respectful of Mr Rana and his daughter Divya. While appointed as Divya's bodyguard, he falls in love with a girl he has never met, unaware that she is none other than Divya.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated Bollywood color with sunlit Indian streets, glossy hotel interiors and warm, flattering close-ups on the leads, shot in a polished commercial style that favors big set pieces and lush song sequences over quiet naturalism. Its vibe is breezy, playful romance with a light action undertow: a comfort rewatch for a lazy weekend afternoon, a crowd-pleaser to put on with friends, or easy company on a long-haul flight when you want something warm and musical. The pacing is brisk and bouncy, with comic misunderstandings and romantic set-ups alternating with full-throated dance numbers and a few bursts of fistfights and chases. Violence is stylised and cartoonish, with some hand-to-hand fights and gunplay but no gore; the sexual content stays suggestive, with kissing and flirtation rather than explicit scenes. Emotionally it stays light, with a loyal bodyguard slowly winning the trust of a headstrong heiress who has been hiding her identity. Recommended for viewers who enjoy romantic comedies with action flourishes, catchy soundtracks and a sunny, uncomplicated mood.
