The story
Kabir, a brilliant but non-conventional officer of the Crime Branch, puts the pieces together of seemingly unconnected deaths of organ donors that lead up to an unlikely suspect - the affable Danny. Kabir will not stop till he cracks the case and delivers justice.
What it’s like
Clinical fluorescent hospital corridors and dim, rain-slicked city nights give this crime thriller a cold, watchful look, with tight framing on faces and a palette that leans toward sterile whites, greys and warm pools of lamplight. The score is taut and pulsing, rising under investigative montages and dropping into quiet when the detective sits with his thoughts. Its vibe is tense, procedural and unsettling, the kind of watch for a late evening alone when you want momentum and a mystery that keeps tightening. The pacing is steady and episodic, with each reveal ratcheting up the pressure, and the emotional register stays grim and restrained. Its central figures are defined by obsession and moral strain more than warmth. Intensity is moderate to high: there are murders and crime-scene violence, bodily horror tied to the organ-harvesting premise, and an ongoing sense of dread, though it is not gratuitously gory. Not suited to anyone seeking something gentle. It is for viewers who enjoy serialised detective stories, dark Mumbai atmospherics and a slow-building sense of threat.
