The story
Jules Cobb is a mom in her forties facing the often humorous challenges, pitfalls and rewards of life's next chapter. Along for the journey is her son, her ex-husband, her husband/neighbor and her friends who together make up her dysfunctional, but supportive and caring extended family... even if they have a funny way of showing it sometimes.
What it’s like
Bright, sun-saturated Florida daylight fills the multi-camera sitcom frame: pool decks, sprawling cul-de-sac lawns, and open-plan kitchens lit warm and even, with a glossy, polished digital look and a bouncy, brass-tinged theme that signals easy fun before a single joke lands. The rhythm is quick and conversational, built on overlapping banter, stage-bright reactions and wine-glass-in-hand confessionals around a backyard patio, the kind of comedy that unspools in familiar rooms rather than wide landscapes. Its vibe is breezy, boozy and affectionate, a little raucous and warmly chaotic. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or something on while folding laundry or cooking dinner. Intensity is low: mild sexual innuendo and frank talk about dating and divorce, no violence, no gore, nothing frightening. The emotional register is teasing but tender, following a divorced mother in her forties and the loyal, loud circle of friends, exes and neighbors who keep pulling her back into the fold. It is for viewers who want gentle, good-natured laughs with heart and no real stakes beyond who is dating whom.
