The story

Long on style and short on cash, bounty hunters Spike, Jet and Faye trawl the solar system looking for jobs. But can they outrun Spike's past?

What it’s like

Hard-edged sunlight on dusty chrome and rust, with neon-smeared night streets on the colonized moons and Mars, shot in bright, wide frames that cut between sweeping space vistas and cramped, low-ceilinged interiors. Expect saturated colour grading, lens flares, and slick action choreography, interrupted by moments of stillness: a rain-streaked window, a cigarette glowing in a dark cabin. The score leans on jazz and blues, with trumpet and upright bass giving scenes a loose, wry swagger. The vibe is melancholy cool, sardonic and rain-soaked, a little restless. Violence is regular and fairly direct, with gunfights, fistfights and some bloodshed, though it stays closer to pulpy action than to gore. Sexual content is minimal, and the language is coarse. The emotional register runs between banter and brooding, with characters who are damaged, guarded and slowly circling small moments of trust. It suits a late-night binge with a drink in hand, for viewers who enjoy noir-tinged sci-fi with a sardonic edge.
