The story

In a bet to prove whether ghosts or aliens exist, two high schoolers face terrifying paranormal threats, gain superpowers and maybe even fall in love?!

What it’s like

Bright, saturated animation with hand-drawn energy: crisp linework, punchy colour against gritty urban backdrops, and sudden shifts into grotesque, kinetic set pieces that snap the frame into a different register. Its vibe is giddy and irreverent, a loud, playful mix of teenage awkwardness and eerie folklore, with a dash of romantic flutter underneath. Episodes move at a brisk clip, pivoting quickly between goofy banter, deadpan jokes and sudden bursts of supernatural action, so it suits a lively weeknight binge or a comfort rewatch when you want energy rather than calm. Its people are two stubborn, mismatched teens who each doubt the other's beliefs and slowly start to trust and care for one another, and the ensemble lean into eccentric, outsized personalities. Intensity is moderate to high: frequent cartoon violence and gore, with grotesque creature designs, fright-driven scenes and some crude, sexualised humour, though the tone stays more mischievous than truly bleak. Made for viewers who enjoy anime comedy with a supernatural edge and a warm romantic thread, and less suited to anyone seeking gentle, violence-free viewing.
