The story

When two cash-strapped UK-based Indians become male escorts amid an economic downturn, money flows right in but everything else in their lives starts falling apart.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated Mumbai-and-London gloss: sunlit apartments, glossy nightclub neon, and polished studio lighting for the musical numbers, with the frame kept busy and mobile rather than still. Its vibe is breezy, cheeky and warm, a bachelor-party comedy that turns a little wistful when the money stops feeling like fun. The rhythm is brisk and song-punctuated, with bright pop-Bollywood cues and bouncy comic beats that keep things moving, and the dramatic scenes slow briefly before the jokes return. The emotional register is friendly and forgiving, following two lifelong friends who bicker, scheme and gradually reckon with what they value more than cash. Violence is minimal and played for slapstick. The sexual content is suggestive and never explicit, handled with innuendo and comic embarrassment rather than candour. Expect light peril and some lightly raunchy jokes, but no real cruelty or fear. It suits a lazy weekend, a group watch, or a comfort rewatch for viewers who enjoy romantic comedy with a little social satire and a lot of colour.
