The story

A band of soldiers is dispatched to war games deep in the woods. When they stumble across a rival team slaughtered in camp, they realize they're not alone.

What it’s like

Dark, rain-soaked woodland shot in murky greens and browns, with hand-held, jittery camerawork that keeps you close to a squad of soldiers in cramped tents and smoky pubs. Night scenes are lit by flickering torches, muzzle flashes and a blood-red moon, while daylight stays flat and overcast. The score is a pounding, percussive mix of drums and synth that gives way to sudden silence before each attack. Pacing is brisk and tense, moving from banter-heavy camaraderie into frantic siege set-pieces, with a bleak, bloody sense of humour cutting through the dread. Intensity is high: frequent, graphic gore, savage werewolf attacks, dismemberment and rough profanity, though the tone stays more playful than grim. It suits a late-night horror watch with friends, and it is for people who like creature-feature mayhem, gallows humour and macho ensemble banter, rather than anyone wanting something gentle.
