The story

LAPD officer Jake Rosser endeavors to lead a peaceful life with his family and retired K-9 officer, Socks. However, tranquility dissolves into chaos when a gang targets them in a brutal attack. Alongside his new K-9 partner Argos, Jake launches into a relentless pursuit of justice, determined to protect his loved ones.

What it’s like

Propulsive action-thriller energy, with a grounded, urban-police texture: the mood shifts from domestic calm to hard-edged street menace. Expect a brisk, escalating rhythm, with quiet family moments giving way to sudden, jarring bursts of conflict and a steady drive toward confrontation. The tone is earnest and tense rather than wry, with a clear emotional spine built on a man's protectiveness toward his household and the loyalty of his dogs. Violence is present and brutal, with a sudden, abrupt attack early on and a relentless, combative chase and fight tone after that, so it is not suited to anyone looking for something gentle. Canine action and bond-driven scenes give the film an animal-centred warmth that cuts through the grit. It suits a weekend action night, or viewers who want a straightforward, high-stakes thriller about police work and loyalty, especially fans of dog-partner stories who can handle sustained, intense peril.
