The story

FBI agent Jack Crawford is out for revenge when his partner is killed and all clues point to the mysterious assassin Rogue. But when Rogue turns up years later to take care of some unfinished business, he triggers a violent clash of rival gangs. Will the truth come out before it's too late? And when the dust settles, who will remain standing?

What it’s like

Hard-edged urban action shot in cool, desaturated city tones: rain-slicked asphalt, sodium-orange streetlamps against blue night, and fluorescent-lit parking garages and warehouses where the gunfire echoes off concrete. The camera leans toward fast handheld movement and tight, kinetic cutting during the fights, with the frame often crowded by bodies and vehicles, while quieter scenes settle into static two-shots in dim offices and apartments. Sound is driven by thudding percussion, sharp gunshots and brisk, heavy-bass scoring that stays busy through most of the runtime. The vibe is grim, adrenaline-heavy and tense, a revenge thriller about a cop chasing a phantom killer through rival gang territory. Pacing is relentless, with long stretches of confrontation punctuated by brief breathers. Violence is frequent and graphic, with shootings, stabbings and beatings shown directly, and some blood, but the film is more kinetic than gruesome. Its emotional register is cold and hardened, and its people stay guarded rather than opening up. Best for viewers who want stylised, non-stop action and don't mind a bleak, violent tone.
