The story

Back from the brink of death, highly skilled commando Tyler Rake takes on another dangerous mission: saving the imprisoned family of a ruthless gangster.

What it’s like

Long, unbroken single takes that drift through concrete prison corridors, dim apartment stairwells and sun-bleached Georgian streets, with the camera tracking alongside the action at shoulder height so the violence feels close and physical. Palette runs to cold steel greys, rust-orange lamplight and the flat white glare of midday over dusty roads, and the grain sits gritty and digital rather than glossy. The sound is loud and kinetic: thudding gunfire, crunching impacts and a pulsing synth-and-percussion score that surges during fights and drops to tense near-silence between them. Pacing is relentless, with short breathers built around set-piece sequences. Vibe: grim, propulsive, sweat-and-adrenaline. Intensity is high: frequent gunfights, hand-to-hand brawling, blood and bruising, and some peril to children, with cruelty from the crime family's gangsters landing hard. It suits a late-night watch with the volume up, and it is for viewers who want sustained, hard-edged action with a rescue-mission spine and a brutal criminal underworld, not a gentle or quiet evening.
