The story
You will be mining resources, researching technologies, building infrastructure, automating production and fighting enemies. Use your imagination to design your factory, combine simple elements into ingenious structures, apply management skills to keep it working and finally protect it from the creatures who don't really like you.
What it’s like
Clean, top-down schematic views of a sprawling factory, with belts of glowing orange ore sliding across dark green-grey terrain and the hum of machinery as the soundtrack. The palette is muted and industrial, with bright accents where machines light up, and the camera is a pannable overhead map rather than a cinematic lens, so the satisfaction comes from watching small, orderly systems grow into something vast. Its vibe is calm and absorbing, a quiet focus that tips into obsession, best suited to long evenings alone, a rainy weekend, or a stretch of background play while half-listening to something else. Pacing is self-set: early hours are gentle tinkering, later hours turn into intricate optimisation, with occasional bursts of tension when alien nests press toward the base. The emotional register is patient and methodical, with a steady sense of progress rather than drama. Violence is present but abstract, with combat against creatures handled through cartoonish, bloodless turret fire and no gore. It is for players who love planning, logistics puzzles, and watching a system they built run on its own.
