The story

Foundry is a first-person base building game set in an endless procedurally generated voxel world. It places heavy focus on automation, conveyor belts & logistics management. The main goal is to automate the production of complex items to conduct research and unlock more effective and advanced technology. The game supports single- & cooperative multiplayer.

What it’s like

Clean industrial sci-fi in a voxel landscape: chunky blocky terrain under flat, bright daylight, with glowing conveyor lines, machine housings and rust-tinted rock stretching to a hazy horizon. The palette leans on steel greys, warm orange furnace light and cool teal machinery, and the camera stays first-person and close to the ground, so the rhythm is one of walking, pausing and studying a belt that is slowly coming together. Sound is mostly mechanical: a steady hum of motors, clacking item transfers, distant mining strikes and an ambient synth bed that rises and falls with the factory's pace. Vibe: methodical, quietly satisfying, a little meditative, with the thrill arriving in small increments as a line finally runs clean. Intensity is low: no gore or graphic violence, and any threat is abstract and environmental rather than frightening. Best suited to late evenings at a desk, long sessions where you want to tinker without pressure, or friends building together in co-op. Made for people who enjoy optimising systems, watching numbers climb and building something orderly from raw, endless ground.
