The story

When the Walker family members switch bodies with each other during a rare planetary alignment, their hilarious journey to find their way back to normal will bring them closer together than they ever thought possible.

What it’s like

Bright, glossy studio-comedy look: even suburban daylight, saturated holiday colours, warm kitchen lamps and twinkling Christmas lights, with polished digital imagery that never gets gritty. The camera stays busy but friendly, with quick cutaways, reaction close-ups and broad family-sitcom staging, and the score is buoyant and orchestral with pop-tinged needle drops. The vibe is cosy, silly and warm, the kind of easy festive viewing that suits a holiday-season evening on the sofa, a lazy weekend with the family, or background comfort while wrapping presents. Pacing is brisk and gag-driven, the tone light and affectionate, and the emotional arc follows a squabbling household learning to see one another from the inside, with parents and teenagers each discovering what the other's daily life really demands. The intensity is low: some slapstick mishaps, mild crude jokes, teen embarrassment and a bit of bullying storyline, with no real violence, gore or sexual content and little real fear. It is for people who want a gentle, laughter-filled holiday film about family empathy that is easy to put on with children or relatives.
