The story
Now that Dan's assassin days are behind him, all he wants for Christmas is quality time with his kids. But when he learns his daughter has her own plans, he books a family trip to London—putting them all in the crosshairs of an unexpected enemy.
What it’s like
Bright, glossy, and brisk, with the sheen of a studio action comedy: crisp daylight and London's grey-and-gold winter streets, shop-window reds and Christmas-lit boulevards, and a camera that moves quickly through fights and chases with handheld energy and fast cuts. The soundtrack leans on punchy pop-rock and driving percussion during set pieces, dropping into easygoing dialogue scenes where the banter does most of the work. The overall vibe is warm, breezy, and light, a holiday-tinged romp with an Europe-vacation feel: sightseeing montages, cosy hotel interiors, and a sense that everyone is slightly overdressed for the trip. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a family movie night, or something to put on while wrapping gifts. Pacing is quick and episodic, with the emotional arc centred on a dad learning to balance his past with his children's independence. Violence is frequent and action-forward: punchy fight scenes, gunfire and chases, with some bloodless injury and no gore, and occasional coarse language. It is best for viewers who want comic action with a family heart and a Christmas setting, not anything gentle or quiet.
