The story
Awkward teen Harriet has always wanted to fit in. Until she gets scouted by a top London model agent and learns that some people are meant to stand out.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated teen-comedy colour gives way to the glossier, more polished world of London fashion, with fitting rooms, castings and photo shoots providing the set pieces. The mood is light and upbeat, with a warm, slightly chaotic energy and a pop-leaning soundtrack that keeps things moving. Scenes are short and snappy, cutting quickly between school corridors, family kitchens and studio sets, so it suits an easy evening, a comfort rewatch or something to half-watch while doing something else. Its emotional register is sunny and sincere: a young woman learning to be more at ease with her own difference, with family warmth, friendship and a few gentle romantic stirrings at its core. Some teasing, self-consciousness and social awkwardness surface, but the tone stays kind and low-stakes. There is no violence, gore or sexual content, and the fear is limited to mild embarrassment and pressure. It is aimed at teenagers and anyone who enjoys a bright, feel-good coming-of-age story with a light touch of glamour.
