The story
Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey thinks she knows everything there is to know about love. But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she'll soon realise that relationships are a lot more complicated when it's your heart on the line.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated daylight and polished, glossy digital colour give this teen romcom the feel of a sunny streaming afternoon, with Seoul's dense neon-edged streets and sleek school corridors filled with pastel uniforms, cafés in warm amber light, and bustling, lived-in exteriors. Camera work is brisk and playful, with quick cutaway inserts, text messages on screen, and cheerful montages set to upbeat pop and K-pop-inflected tracks that keep the energy bouncing. The vibe is breezy and sweet with a bit of wistful heartache underneath: light, warm, and easy to dip into. It suits a lazy weekend, a comfort binge, or background company while folding laundry. Pacing is fast and episodic, and the emotional arc follows a confident, meddling young woman learning that love can't be planned like a matchmaking spreadsheet, with friendship, family, and first crushes unfolding across several overlapping romances. Intensity is very gentle: no violence, no gore, mild kissing and romantic tension, and minimal peril, with the stakes mostly emotional and embarrassing rather than frightening. It is made for people who want a charming, low-stakes romance with heart, humour, and a generous cast of supporting friends.
