The story
Mia, a talented and courageous girl who lives with her adoptive godmother, earns a scholarship to attend the prestigious Saint Mary Academy, a school renowned for its acclaimed art department and privileged students. Once at Saint Mary, Mia tries to adapt to her new school but soon finds herself at odds with the owner’s daughter, the academy’s most talented and popular student. With the help of her two new friends, Mia sets out to win over Saint Mary, even capturing the attention of the school’s heartthrob and basketball player—the brother of her rival.
What it’s like
Bright, sun-washed school corridors and warm studio light give this Argentine teen series a glossy, sunny finish, with rehearsal rooms full of mirrors, dance floors lit in saturated pastels, and the bustle of a privileged campus shot in mostly handheld, energetic camera work. The sound leans on pop and upbeat dance tracks, with bursts of choreography that punctuate the everyday. Its vibe is bright, earnest and breezy, the kind of comfort viewing that fits a lazy weekend afternoon, a light background watch while doing homework, or a stretch when you want something hopeful. The pacing is brisk and episodic, with rivalries, small betrayals and friendships rising and cooling in easy cycles, and the emotional register stays warm and sweet, following a determined newcomer slowly earning her place among peers who first look down on her. Intensity is low: mild teen conflict and some romantic tension, with no meaningful violence, gore, or frightening material. It suits viewers who want uplifting, low-stakes teen drama with music, dance and a little romance.
