The story

A high school girl finally gets her own apartment, but she has to share it with the most popular boy in school. No one can know they're living together.

What it’s like

Soft morning light through apartment windows, bright and unhurried, with the warm, slightly washed-out look of a 2016 Japanese live-action series. Interiors are small and lived-in: a cramped kitchen, a rumpled futon, a school uniform hung on a door, and the cluttered ordinary details of two people sharing too little space. The mood is light and fizzy with a tender undercurrent, closer to cozy comedy than melodrama, its rhythm set by quick back-and-forth exchanges that loosen into quieter, awkward pauses. Sound stays unobtrusive: gentle piano under classroom chatter, the clatter of breakfast, a rain-day hush. Romance builds slowly through small gestures and mutual irritation, with a love triangle and friendships that tug at the central pair. The intensity is mild, with no violence and only light romantic tension and teasing. It suits a lazy weekend, a comfort rewatch, or an evening when you want a warm, low-stakes romance. It is for viewers who enjoy slow-burn school romance, sweet awkwardness, and the comfort of watching adolescents find their footing.
