The story
At the end of the second semester of third year of high school, four students are prepared for graduation and feel the ending to their high school life. But that changes a little with the arrival of a transfer student.
What it’s like
Soft pastel animation with warm afternoon light slanting through school windows, sun-faded corridors, and the quiet hum of a town at the end of the school year. The palette stays gentle and airy, with plenty of muted greens and creams, and the camera lingers on ordinary moments like walking home, shared lunches, and classroom stillness. The score is light and unobtrusive, mostly soft piano and understated strings that leave room for ambient school sounds. The vibe is wistful and warm, a bittersweet ache for things about to change. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or a late-night binge when you want something tender without much pressure. The pacing is unhurried and episodic, and the emotional register stays low-key and sincere. Its four students move through awkward crushes, hesitant confessions, and the slow realization that adolescence is ending, with tension that is more about glances and unspoken feelings than drama. Intensity is very low: no violence, no gore, and no sexual content, just gentle romantic tension and quiet emotional honesty. It is for viewers who want heartfelt, slice-of-life romance with a nostalgic glow.
