The story

Mizuki Ashiya is on a mission: disguise herself as a boy and enroll in a male boarding school to meet her idol, high jump star Izumi Sano. But after successfully infiltrating the school, she discovers he’s suddenly quit the sport! Now Mizuki must dodge suspicion, protect her cover, and somehow reach the boy she came all this way for—all while surviving the chaos of an all-boys dorm!

What it’s like

Bright, expressive shoujo animation with bold, clean colours and exaggerated comic reactions, the kind of look where a sudden blush or a sweat-drop can fill the frame. The mood is light and buoyant: a giddy, flustered romantic comedy that stays warm rather than wounding. Dorm hallways, sunlit school grounds and quick cutaways to a crowded common room give it a busy, lived-in feel, with pop-bright openings and a playful score that sits comfortably behind the bustle. The pacing is brisk and episodic, built on escalating mix-ups and near-misses, and its emotional register stays cheerful, with slice-of-life pauses for friendship and teasing. The central arc follows a determined girl who must keep her secret while slowly drawn into a tangle of feelings with the boys around her. Intensity is mild: comic slapstick and rough-housing, some sexual innuendo, and no real violence, gore or cruelty. It suits a comfort watch, a lazy weekend, or anyone who wants something cheerful and funny with a strong romantic pull, especially fans of gender-disguise comedies and light, colourful anime.
