The story

Harley Quinn has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker. Now, she's trying to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City, with help from Poison Ivy and a ragtag crew of DC castoffs.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated adult animation with flat cel-style color, loud pinks and greens against sooty Gotham night, and a hand-drawn scribble texture that makes every frame feel scrappy and lived-in. The sound is busy and punchy: rapid-fire crosstalk, cartoon sound effects, and a pop-rock score that jumps between genres. The vibe is manic but warm, a chaotic-hangout energy that suits a lazy weekend binge, background noise while cleaning up, or a comfort watch when you want to laugh out loud without thinking. Episodes move at a brisk clip, with jokes packed into every corner of the screen and a steady stream of fourth-wall nudges. Its emotional core is a messy, funny friendship: a bruised woman rebuilding her sense of self alongside a found-family crew of misfits who keep bickering and showing up for each other. Violence is frequent and cartoonish, with splattery gore, slapstick mayhem and explosions played for laughs, plus crude sexual humor and bad-language gags; it is not frightening or grim, but it is far from gentle. For adults who like irreverent, sweary comedy, superhero send-ups and sharp-tongued female leads.
