The story

FBI agent Audrey Parker arrives in the small town of Haven, Maine to solve a murder and soon discovers the town's many secrets—which also hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her lost past.

What it’s like

Overcast coastal light and grey-blue fog settle over clapboard houses, lobster boats and a lighthouse on the water, shot in a cool, moody palette with plenty of close, handheld framing on a lead's face. The sound is a low atmospheric score of strings and sparse guitar, with wind and surf always audible underneath. The vibe is quiet unease with a warm small-town undercurrent, the kind of mystery to sink into on a grey weekend or late at night with the lamps on. Pacing is episodic and steady: each case unspools over an hour while a larger personal puzzle simmers beneath it, and the central arc follows a guarded outsider slowly finding a place among people who know more than they say. Intensity is moderate. Murders and fights happen in brief, sharp bursts or off-screen, with ongoing peril and tense standoffs, but no sustained gore and no sexual content on screen. It suits viewers who want a supernatural procedural with atmosphere and character warmth rather than horror, especially fans of small-town mysteries who don't mind a fantastical hook.
