The story

Two elite soldiers must escort civilians through a gauntlet of gunfire and explosions.

What it’s like

Bright desert daylight bleaches the frame, with dusty convoy roads, washed-out ochre sand and the hot blue of cloudless sky, while hand-held and tracking shots keep the camera close to the vehicles as they grind forward. Action is loud and kinetic: engine roar, gunfire cracking across open ground, and bursts of explosions shaking the image, with a bombastic, synth-tinged score pushing each set piece. The vibe is brash, sun-scorched adrenaline with a wisecracking undertone, the sort of movie that suits a Friday night with friends or a noisy afternoon when you want momentum over subtlety. Pacing rarely lets up; the emotional shape follows two mismatched professionals, a hardened soldier and a laconic specialist, gradually softening into grudging loyalty while they shepherd frightened civilians out. Violence is frequent and action-driven, with gunfights and explosions, some bloodshed and peril, though it stays largely bloodless and never lingers on gore. Comedy punctuates the tension through banter and physical gags. It is for viewers who want a high-octane buddy action picture with light humour and plenty of spectacle, not a quiet or reflective watch.
