The story
A shape-shifting snake exacts revenge on the men he believes are responsible for the death of Divya, his lover in her previous life.
What it’s like
Bright studio lighting in saturated reds, golds and jewel-toned silks, with a glossy early-2000s digital sheen that tips happily into kitsch. Fights are staged with fast cuts, dramatic zooms and plenty of noise, while the snake-form sequences lean on tinted, glowing effects and hissing sound design that feel deliberately uncanny rather than realistic. The score is a loud blend of Bollywood synth, dhol beats and big orchestral swells, interrupted by lavish song-and-dance numbers that halt the story in glittering outdoor sets. The vibe is campy, overheated and unapologetically melodramatic, best enjoyed with friends who want to laugh and gasp together. Pacing is brisk and uneven, with the emotional register swinging between tearful romance and cartoonish menace as a grieving man slides into obsessive vengeance, while the supporting characters are drawn in broad strokes. Intensity is moderate: stylised beatings, some bloody moments and frightening snake attacks, plus stretches of threatening menace, but no sustained gore; romance is kissing and suggestive song imagery only. For viewers who want a loud, goofy supernatural revenge spectacle on a Friday night, or fans of 2000s Hindi masala horror-fantasy.
