The story
A non-confrontational Jayesh decides to defy his patriarchal family and flee with his pregnant wife Mudra to save their unborn daughter from foeticide. A screwball, hilarious chase begins as Jayesh's father assembles all his might to nab them. Will this unlikely hero manage to create a safe and equal haven for his daughter?
What it’s like
Bright, bustling studio comedy with saturated colour, crowded small-town streets, and busy compositions that let slapstick play out in full frame. Sound leans on brassy film-score cues, swelling comic stings and fast chase music, with bursts of Bollywood-style song. The mood is warm, brisk and goofy, the kind of screwball caper you can follow without concentrating. Its serious core, a family pressuring a young couple toward a son, is handled with a light touch: sincere emotion surfaces in quieter, tender moments, then the film returns to the next gag. Violence is mild, mostly slapstick and scuffles without gore, though the pursuit carries a steady thread of comic peril. The pacing is quick and cheerful, the arcs centre on a mild-mannered husband finding his nerve and a couple uniting around their child. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a family viewing, or a comfort watch when you want laughter with a little heart and no real darkness. It is for viewers who enjoy Hindi mainstream comedy, romantic warmth and underdog energy, and who want something gentle, funny and hopeful.
