The story

Sachin Tichkule, a struggling contractor whose failure in making peace with the corrupt bureaucracy in town as well as strained relation with his ex-girlfriend and his family leads to misadventures that deprive him of his closest relations. However, as he begins to mend his ways, justice comes knocking on his door.

What it’s like

Bright, busy commercial-comedy frames, with sunlit streets, crowded offices and saturated costumes, and a lot of mugging straight into the camera. The sound is a loud, cheerful Bollywood mix of song cues, quick comic stings and rapid-fire dialogue, with plenty of door-slamming farce and exaggerated reaction shots. The vibe is breezy and mischievous, a satirical joke about petty graft that stays mostly playful rather than bitter, best for a lazy afternoon or a group watch where laughing out loud is the point. Pacing is fast and episodic, with sketches that bounce between the hero's schemes and the people around him. Its emotional register is warm and sentimental underneath the noise: a scrappy, self-serving man gradually softens and learns to value the family and friends he has been neglecting, and the tone builds toward a tidy, feel-good resolution. Intensity is low: slapstick mishaps, some shouting and a few tense confrontations, but no gore and little real menace. It suits viewers who want an easygoing, mildly satirical comedy with heart, especially those who enjoy broad Hindi-film humour and musical interludes.
