The story
Swathi dreams of owning a restaurant. But when a murder derails her plan, she and her lover take an outrageous step — to replace him with her husband.
What it’s like
Sly, deadpan dark comedy with a crime-thriller undertow and a domestic, ambitious edge. The mood is wry and slightly sour, the kind of humour that sits with a grim situation and watches the characters' small rationalisations unravel. A kitchen-and-ambition setting gives it warm, everyday textures to set against the moral mess, and the tone shifts between brisk and quietly anxious. Pacing feels episodic and steady, built on escalating tension rather than big set pieces. Its people are compromised and self-serving, and the arcs trace how far ordinary desire can bend a person before they notice. Violence is part of the premise and drives the plot, so expect a killing and its consequences, with the dread coming more from schemes and suspicion than from gore. It suits a late evening with a drink, or a viewer who likes a crime story that finds its laughs in bad decisions. It is for people who enjoy morally grey characters, black humour, and stories where a plan keeps spiralling.
