The story
Knuckles embarks on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated CG animation with the glossy, cartoon-realistic finish of the Sonic films: emerald jungle canopies, sun-warmed red cliffs, and ruins that catch golden light at the edges of the frame. Colour does most of the work, and the palette stays cheerful even in the quieter stretches. The sound is big and bouncy, with brass-and-percussion action cues, swelling adventure scoring, and a lot of quick comic timing in the dialogue. It feels like a loose, playful Saturday-morning serial with grown-up wit, a light and easy watch for a lazy afternoon or a family evening. Episodes move briskly, with slapstick set pieces breaking up the training-montage rhythm. Emotionally it's warm and low-stakes, built on a grumpy mentor slowly softening toward an eager, overconfident student, and the bond between them carries the comedy. The action is cartoonish, with punches, falls and chases that land as bruising fun rather than real harm, and there is no gore. It suits anyone who wants a gentle, funny, colourful adventure without much darkness, especially fans of the wider Sonic world and viewers who like buddy comedy with a sincere heart.
